Government
Passes New Regulations
Recently the
government has passed NEW regulations with concern to pipeline risk
assessment. The government has declared that ALL pipeline should be
assessed over the next seven years. Pigging has not been mandated,
though it will be required in order to properly assess the conditions
of the pipeline
The Mandate states that 50% of all pipelines must be assessed within
the first 3-1/2 years, and the remaining 50% completed in the following
3-1/2 years. Some companys are already taking steps to begin there
assessment process. This will cause a great increase in the pigging
industry, and StarTrak plans on being the leader of the pack with its
ground breaking innovations.
